big apple

Here is a sort of recap of my last few days, which I've been somewhat horrible at documenting even though I have this new kick ass camera. My family and I went to a farmer's market in Philadelphia and then yesterday my dad took my cousins and I into New York. Despite minor stomach problems I had a wonderful time. Some highlights were seeing Spring Awakening (please, please see this if you are in the city!) and going to MoMA. I was telling a friend how absolutely in love with the city I am, which I forget until I step out of the train and into the action. Hope everyone is having a great holiday!

Today was so warm! It was fabulous. I did enjoy the cold, but my legs were oh so happy to be somewhat exposed today...plus I was missing my tanks...

Wore a pretty casual outfit for lunch with the broski and nana. Le Redoute cardigan, AA tank, random necklaces, Hardtail cargos, and Gap heels.

Smile for me, baby. And dont forget to check out Shameless!

black christmas

Here are some photos from Christmas day. My brother got a new, marvelous camera and I begged him to snap a few pictures of me with it. Lucky for me, he gave in and took some for me.

It was a bit of a gothic Xmas; I decided that head-to-toe blackness would be my look for the day. The mono-chromatic outfit seemed questionable to some family members, but I hoped that in a house of about 30 people there might be at least a few admirers. Luckily my aunt Kristin, or "Chin-Chin" as we call her, was a big fan. I can always count on her for support. Haha

I did feel rather dressed up, which I love love loved. And Christmas was beautiful. Cold and wet and rainy and dark. Perfectionnnn.

Currently lusting after Canon Rebels on ebay...ugh. Birthday is comin up...January 5th.

Maybe I can sucker someone into getting it for me...

wake up! wake up! wake up! its christmas EVE!

Photobucket

Today we eat good food, perhaps open a present or two early, hug each other, laugh over coffee, and snuggle by the fire. All shopping done. All gifts wrapped. All rooms clean. Okay not all rooms, I have a bit of tidying up to do. It's still cold. Hoping that the chilly weather will stick around for tomorrow at least.

Hopefully everyone will be keeping the drinking to a minimum tonight, we don't want Christmas to be ruined.

...Though I'm sure many of us will be hearing countless renditions of "Bingle Jells, Bingle Jells, Bing all the way..." haha. Oh, Christmas...

unsure

Photobucket

So I wore this outfit a few days ago to go out and about with a friend...I was missing these shorts but it was obviously too cold to wear them alone or with a crop top like I normally pair them with. I was not quite sure about how I felt about it, though. The turban did its job of hiding my dirty hair perfectly...

Thoughts? Is anyone still reading our little old blog?

peaches

Photo from Nylon, shot by the Cobrasnake

I cannot escape this overwhelming desire to dye my hair blonde & blue immediately. And I die over this headband (maybe necklace?) Oh, Peaches.

ps- Has anyone ever noticed that sometimes upside-down or sideways pictures look so good until you turn them so that their right-side-up and you notice that the person is actually making a really awkward face and not looking so hot at all? Haha. Just askin.

Smile for me, baby.

White Winter Hymnal

The snow is beautiful today. I don't care that I have to wear my giant boots or that my hair falls flat as soon as I walk outside. The flurries are magical.

I just finished my french final which means I am done forever with it! I wish so much that I could master a language, particularly such a romantic language as french, but I am not linguistically inclined at all. All that's left now is art which I actually find enjoyable to study. I mean what other class can I discuss pictures like Mapplethorpe's X Portfolio? Go look em up, they're impressive, to say the least, but very graphic.

Wearing vintage army tee over Forever 21 dress and target leggings, sorel boots, h&m scarf, and a random hat from Mammoth!

Happy Winter!

Gotta get my fix.

So this is what we do when we miss each other. Send pics of ourselves doing everyday things. And today we were both drinking coffee. Which during finals week is absolutely essential!

Hope everyone is surviving the cold this week!

Oh and I cut my bangs! Yay!

Smile for me, baby.

bundled up

It's so cold out there! (okay, LAUREN, I may not understand cold the same as you do in Missouri, but it is definitely socks-and-boots worthy weather here). Lo made fun of me a bit ago for saying it was cold outside, yet wearing sandals at the same time. Haha. It is pretty funny I must admit. I am currently bundled up in my mother's old fur, Ralph Lauren thermal (thank you, Costco), Citzens Jeans over leggings, scarf from Reggie & Luca, and one of my most precious possesions: a raggedy old beanie I picked up Yosemite about 7 years ago.

-Molls (That one's for you, Alicia)

Oh tidings of comfort and joy...

Getting more into the Christmas spirit lately.
My family bought a rather perfect looking noble fur tree to put in the living room, but I was longing to put up our 60's aluminum tree that my mother found at an antique store downtown a few years ago (we alternate between a real tree and this tin beauty every year, and this year fell upon the real one).

So my dad, being the lovely person that he is, offered to help me put up the beautiful silver christmas tree up in my room, and voila! Here it is! I decided that it would be most appropriate to have some of my favorite shoes under the tree acting as presents :)

The tree itself rotates and has a spinning color wheel that shines colorful light all the way up the metallic branches. It makes me quite happy.

My beloved skull ring was ready for his close-up. I realized there was no good picture of him, poor thing.

she was thinking fabulous

So I was just on Yahoo, and there was a link to "omg! What Were They Thinking?" I clicked on it, naturally, and was appalled to find they didn't have any respect for Diane Kruger's get-up here. It's freaking Diane Kruger. She is sort of flawlesss, people. She gets to wear what she wants. Besides, I like this look. Uber straight hair, red lips, bowtie. You look sexy, mama.

frankie says relax

I just wanted to be super casual/comfortable today. No fluff. No structure, really. Just chill. "Relax" was pretty much the theme of the day. Slighty tense 9-4 experience at the estrogen-festival (school) today. But whatevs, its ova!

I picked up these amazingly comfortable capris at Reggie & Luca yesterday. Paige immediately named them as the "perfect cargo" when she saw them today. I agree. Slouchy. Distressed. Comfy as hell.

And I don't know if any of the pictures have shown my skull ring very well, but I am in love with it. I got it in Hawaii, and have worn it at least every other day since.

Finally, the coziest thing ever invented: my perfectly wonderful hooded scarf from Target. I picked this up a quite a bit ago on a spontaneous Target adventure. It has since gone on sale, gotta hate that, but I love it none-the-less.

Wearing Target boots, Nation tee, and Hardtail pants from Reggie & Luca

My brother snapped that first shot when I wasn't quite ready. Haha. It's very awkward, and so I love it.

Now, for the weekend!

Yesterday I was looking through the many many pages of my photobucket and was reacquainted with all of these phenomenal images I have collected over the years. Many of them are fairly old, so unfortunately I cannot cite a source for most of them. I did, however, want to share some of my favorites with you.
