Date night with one of the besties tonight...yay for just about one million diet-coke-with-lime's.

I pulled this cami out of my closet, realizing i hadn't worn it in about 2 years. I then had a strange desire to pair it with black...

I am so obsessed with these hand-me-down boots from my maja. I am pretty sure she aquired them in the late eighties/early nineties from Nordstrom...they are ab fab. Totally slopping looking with my lack of lace-tying, but i likes it that ways.

Wearing tank from Urban Outfitters, Forever21 shawl/sweater, Genetic Denim skinnies, and mother's old boots.

Smile for me, baby. And ps-yes, i am well aware of my wack-a-doodle hair.

not so haute

The Spring 2009 Couture shows were sort of underwhelming. Lacroix is always out there. Dior as well. But otherwise there didn't seem to be much avant-garde action going on. Most of them just looked like ready-to-wear collections. There were, however, some fabulous looks and beautiful pieces on the runway. My top picks? Well, I am so glad you asked...

Givenchy: Go Vampire Lady!

Valentino: Cocooned in Sultry Red.

Elie Saab: Epic Beauty (Don't you DIE over that second pair of shoes?!?!)

Chanel: Amazing Headdresses; These stripes slay me.

Armani PrivĂ©: Flaired and Tailored to Perfection
(WOW to that color combo in the first!)

Love love LOVE the wigs as well.

Dreaming of drama, long fringe, dark brows, and mesh/sheer EVERYTHING...

attempted shred

So here are the results of my first try at a shredded shirt. Nothing new, I do realized that, but after seeing it for the first time on Heidi Klum and having seen in on about a million beloved blogs, I decided it was about time I took a whack at it.

Not exactly thrilled...there ended up being far more holes than I would have ever thought or liked and I did manage to accidently rip the lettering right over my nipple...but whateva.

I have a kind of cooky idea for some shirts that I am also gonna try and execute...

I shall keep you guys posted.

Smile for me, baby.

Leaves are covering just about every inch of our lower driveway, its crazy. And not even from our tree! Totally the neighbor's ash! They did make for lovely pictures, though.

Wore this number on a Target run with my maja to get new sheets (my old ones were so worn they had holes in them!! I swear they were like a DIY shredded tee).

This AA tank is just the ultimate. Such an essential wardrobe piece.

Wearing AA tank, Le Redoute cardigan, Goodwill belt, and TwelvebyTwelve skirt.

should i dye my hair brown?

Photobucket

For some reason I've not been enthused about taking outfit pictures of myself lately, so sorry about that.

This picture made me feel more excited about fashion than I have in a while. She is just so breathtaking and I would love to start compiling pieces to recreate this. Where the heck can I find beautiful skirts like that?

Smile for me, baby.

if i were a boy

A few faves from the Fall 2009 Menswear collections:

DSquared2: Slightly Jonas Bro's but I'm love-love-loving this.

Byblos: Simple, yet quirky. A completely understated sex appeal. Also digging the blazer over the long-sleeve crew neck. Not to mention the expression on this dude's face. Can you tell I love it? Haha.

Belstaff: Everything about this look is perfection to me. The pants are so sick. And I love men in boots. Currently drooling...I would probably jump on this guy if I saw him in the streets...

Loving how similar the styles and silhouettes are for men and women lately...sexytime.

Doest thou enjoyeth any of these??

Smile for me, baby.

Missoni Pre-Fall 09

A new spin on fringe + crazy knits and sweaters.

Killer.

I also am really into this model. Does anyone know who she is? Her hair is fabulous.

The layering in this collection is just great. Loving the use of sheer turtlenecks in almost every look..

Downtowns. Crazies. Chinatown. Crazies. Chef's Special. BART. Union Square. Homeless. Walking. Chilly. Backless Dress. Vogue. Aardvarks & Fur Coats. Jameson. Nanking. MOMA. Hippie. Gold. Street Lights. Killer.

Lo and I, along with our dearest friend Alex, road tripped it up to San Fran this weekend for a few days of fun and it was ab fab.

Lauren got the sickest Almost-Famous-Penny-Lane coat from Aardvark (isn't that second to last pic the CUTEST??) and I am totally jeally beans over it. I'm also pretty sure that my shinylicious gold tights caused bewilderment in most onlookers.

Goodness it was so much fun.

I am hoping Lo will post more. She has a much better camera than I.

Smile for me, baby. I've missed ya'll!

quail

Well hello there,

I haven't posted in a while i know....waaa waaa. To be completely honest, I'm not sure I want to keep up a blog anymore. Lately I feel like I dress just so I can take pictures of my outfits for this and really I'm not always the most fashionable person which means less pics and less posting. I love fashion and I think it's terribly fun to get dressed up, but I'm not sure if it's something I'm completely passionate about anymore. We'll see.

In the meantime, I am in San Francisco with Molly and our friend Alex and we're having a ball. Before I get my day started I'll leave you with some awesomeness I found on Nylon Magazine's website. Quail's spring 2009 line looks wonderful to me. When Nylon's caption for the line was, "Who says you can't go rock climbing in a ruffled mini-dress?," I had to check it out. Their pieces are simple but really playful and I particularly love the all pink ensemble (I just don't know if I could rock the all one color look). Oh and what's up with everyone and thigh-highs? I might just have to test them out for myself... So enjoy the pics, check out Quail, and keep reading.

Love you guys (especially Seth and Jeff).
Smile for me, baby.

20

Yesterday was nice. It included going on a walk, sitting at the park, laughing with my brother and best friend, a miniature dance party in my room, having dinner with loved ones, and cuddling to Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I just wanted to be comfortable and relaxed. Dressing up did not appeal to me one bit.

F21 tunic & flower, Genetic Denim Shane Cigarette Jeans, Minnetonka boots, Bebe sweater, Vintage faux fur vest.
