I went to the debut 2009 fashion show for FIDM tonight is Santa Monica and, frankly, I just didn't even want to try and compete with all the gals I knew were gonna show up dressed to the nines. Surely they would look way too fabulous. My resolution? Complete hobo garb. Oh yes.

Paige calls these ancient Calvin Klein's my "all terrain boots." Haha. I was very thankful for them when the ladies around me were struggling to walk on the heavily-cracked asphalt in their stilettos. 

The show was pretty stupendous, I must say. Is it horrible to say I was a teensy bit surprised by this?? Gems of designs graced the runway.

Also, I got my teeth cleaned today for the first time in TWO YEARS. Yes, I am filthy. I didn't have any cavities/plaque buildup/unhealthy gum tissue though!! Haha see!

Such a Lazy Bones Jones lately...

For those who know me, wearing sneakers such as these is quite the rarity. I rock my vans every now and again but I am not a usual wearer of these kind.

Very much of a slovenly looking outfit...and fake glasses are the BEST for covering an unmade-up face.

Wearing brother's striped sweater, Betsey Tights, stolen volleyball shorts from a friend, Nikes, and a miscellaneous scarf.

Recognize these puppies I wear all too often? I purchased them from the Gap right around a year ago for on $20 bucks on sale and have never met a shoe I liked as much. 

Well, there is a newer version of this delectable heel back on the Gap.com website. White heel/platform. Suede straps. Interesting colors. The delightful Paige let me know about these lovies.

While I am not sure how I feel about them yet, I thought I'd let all of you lovely people know about these before they are gone. They are $98, but I can pretty much guarantee you that they will go on sale fairly quickly.

As I'm writing this, I am kind of falling in like with these babies...hmm...

Opinions, anyone??

Absolutely everything about this editorial blows my mind. I am completely captivated by the movement and color in these photographs. The sort of morbid nature of this spread is what kills. Its eerie and sensual and gorgeous and I could stare at it eternally and be utterly pleased.

Can someone please drench me in pearls, cover me in excessively tailored blackness, and shower me with Elizabethan ruffles?

This woman can do no wrong, in my opinion. She nails the classics. She slays the fit. She gets her body. Nothing she wears is unflattering. She has the most INSANE face. She effing owns black. She kills black. She is messy and put together all at once. God I love this gal. So stunning.

And she ain't no IT girl. Rose is an 29-year-old Aussie actress who has been in flicks such as Troy, Marie Antoinette, Wicker Park, & 28 Weeks Later.

Not every has to be an innovator. Rose ignores trends and is void of flashy tendencies. She is a classic. Elegance such as hers will never go out of style.
