So I know this has been going on for a bit but I am starting to fall in love with the whole sweatpants as acceptable-in-the-real-world-and-not-just-on-your-couch pants.

I think I could definitely DIY the last pair, maybe at the same time I do this.

The only downside is that unless you're wearing heels they really won't cut it. And I'm still trying to figure out where besides roaming the fashionable streets of NY this would fly.

Currently in immense adoration for these waifed women drenched in dripping, draped knitwear. I am so ridiculously impressed with this collection I have not the appropriate words....I am just stoked on his twist on what everyone else is doing right now.

I mean the collar pieces the hats the sweater leggings the socks the long necklaces the tissue paper hose COME ON!!

There were some fancy pants eyes at the Three as Four show which I loved, seeing as I enjoy when people make something like eyes an accessory. I would definitely rock the first look to some fun party, but I'm still questioning how manageable the lashes would be. I mean she looks stellar but I would for sure get some crazy looks...kinda like the chick behind her is giving.

I was elated to find the editorial I swooned over in the October's issue of Elle US up on livejournal.

I had purchased the mag to distract me on a plane flight to Colorado this past weekend and was immediately charmed by the delicious chocolatey tones in these photographs...just stunning. It set the mood off right (I read all magazines back-to-front) and allowed me survive with only limited paranoia in the air.

In addition to the rich composition of this ed, I am loving this men's-meets-women's wear: silky, velvety, blousy, mixed with boxy, tied, and anti-hourglass shapes...Not to mention the fact that Jamie King is modeling all of it...

This new film by Sally Potter looks crazay. It's about people at a fashion house in the middle of a murder investigation, but shot as if on a cellphone by a kid. The film created a new genre in film, Naked Cinema, and it debuts today not only on DVD but on cell phones and internet as well. I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but with a cast like Dame Judi Dench, Lily Cole, and Jude Law was a transvestite it looks like it's worthe a look.

You all know my obsessive adoration for this divine woman/lunatic. In my eyes, she can do no wrong. Even when silver is painted all about her face and she rocks the tie-dye MC Hammer pants, I drool.

So it should be no surprise that I found her get-up at her movie screening at the Toronto Film Festival to be unbelievably fabulous. Between the McQueen dress, the Casadei platforms, the seafoam green nails, and the black-tipped locks I am uhh-maazzed.

careless and glittered

So basically, people, I have been most uninterested in dressing myself in the days of late. When summer comes my brain fries and all motivation for creative outfitting drifts away.

So I've pretty much just been careless in my summer clothes as Cold War would say...I'm just somewhat uninspired by style..

I have, however, been strangely addicted to this strip of white glitter eye shadow I've been strategically painting under my right eye every day...and I'm loving the curious looks I get from friends family and passersby and they try to figure out what exactly that spot of sparkly is.

French Toast

Melanie Laurent is absolutely ravishing. She completely stole the show in Inglourious Basterds not only with her clean but striking oh-so-french outfits, but with her awesome performance. And she didn't even speak English before the film. Can you imagine Tarantino yelling at you in some language you hardly understand and then being like "I'm sorry but I don't know what the hell you just said." Even on the red carpet this girl rocks it. Needless to say I'd risk the embarrassing use of my minimal French to try to be friends with her.

Guess Who's Back?!

Hello loves! After much begging and groveling and gnashing of teeth Miss Molly has graciously allowed me to come back to the blog. I missed it, I love it, I can't live without it. But no really, I have absolutely no outlet sharing all the awesome fashion I see and I am so excited to come back and do it here. So yay!

Was everyone else in love with this spread of Alexa Chung in Nylon? I want to recreate this large sweater over mini-skirt look. So casual but kinda sexy at the same time. Mmm.
